January 26, 2021

The Institute for Childhood Preparedness is proud to announce that the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) has awarded the Institute for Childhood Preparedness the prestigious Authorized Provider accreditation. With IACET accreditation, the Institute for Childhood Preparedness joins the exclusive ranks of elite continuing education providers who meet this international standard of excellence in providing quality education and training instruction.

Founded in 2018, the Institute works with early childhood programs, religious organizations, K-12 schools, government organizations, private businesses, philanthropy organizations, Head Start programs, and child care resource and referral agencies to help staff prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and disasters. Since its inception, the Institute has trained over 100,000 professionals from across the globe.

To achieve Authorized Provider status, the Institute for Childhood Preparedness completed a rigorous application process and successfully demonstrated adherence to the American Standards Institute (ANSI)/IACET 1-2007 Standard addressing the design, development, administration, and evaluation of our programs. The ANSI/IACET Standard reflects an international standard of excellence in providing quality education and training instruction, utilized by thousands of education and instruction programs worldwide.

“We are extremely pleased to achieve accreditation status,” said Andrew Roszak, Executive Director of the Institute for Childhood Preparedness. “This accreditation is a demonstration of our commitment to provide high-quality, relevant programming to help ensure staff and facilities are prepared for emergencies and disasters. From day one, we have worked with numerous state-level early childhood registry organizations to ensure our training exceeds industry standards. IACET accreditation builds upon these efforts and allows us to issue IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for our training programs.”
